Over the next few weeks I am teaching a series called, “Got Vision?” at my church Faith City. Here are a few things we have started to tackle...

I am sure you have heard the following phrase before... Everybody ends up somewhere in life; a few people end up somewhere ON PURPOSE! Now this statement carries some weight with it and I WANT YOU TO end up somewhere are purpose! The Bible is clear about the importance of having a vision and the tragedy of not having one!
Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint and become discouraged, but blessed is he who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18 ESV
  • Without clear VISION chances are, you end up missing out on what could be... and should be!
  • Without a clear VISION the power available to keep you on track will dissipate before you realize it!
  • Without a clear VISION discouragement will haunt you to where you can pick up unwanted or unneeded vices!
Getting a God VISION for your life will be a stimulus for great things to start falling into place, such as...

Vision brings a passion to keep moving forward.... and that passion will cause you to experience the emotions of your future reality now. When you turn it over in your mind, it will fuel your emotions and that will reinforce your commitment to your vision!

Vision will give you direction like a road map. When you can see where your going and how to get there, it will simplify making decisions! You will weed out the unnecessary, the wasteful, and the distractions giving the effort and time to your priorities. Without vision, good things hinder the best things!
If these thoughts stir you realize that God has a vision for your life, and the first step to find it is to make a genuine commitment to Christ with your life. He has a plan for everyone of us... but it's up to us to find it... Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God's plan for us is a great plan to; “prosper you, not harm you, to give you a hope and a future”!
