Battle For Our Heart!

Many people, even Christians look at most things on only a surface level. They think most everything they encounter on a daily basis is either physical or natural. But the truth is there's a battle being played out every single day in the spiritual realm, and we must acknowledge it, because the battle is for our heart!

In this battle, you have God on one hand trying to influence us toward righteousness and Himself. Why? So that His blessings can manifest in our lives. Then you have satan, on the other hand, who is battling to steal our hearts away from God. He works through lust, deception, and fear to corrupt hearts. But the saddest part of this war is; most folks are not even aware of the battle!

Blaming circumstances and accepting whatever happens is simply ignorance to this real spiritual battle. Our choices, our words, and our actions all help determine whether God or satan will have control in our life. Many people refuse to believe that anyone they can't see can control them, and exempt themselves from the battle. But your unwillingness to engage in battle doesn’t mean that the battle isn’t raging; it just means you’re going to lose.

Take courage friend, because you can win in this battle for your heart! After you accept that there is a battle, you can learn what and how to take action, and become skillful in winning over the devil. Let me show you what God's Word says about this battle.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:10-12

You will win in this war, as you study to know who you are and the authority you have as a believer. You can resist the devil. You have the power and authority to resist! You have the armor of God so put it on! Now is the time to show up, live right, live big in Him, and win the battle!

Blessings, Karl

Faith City Dream Teams

We just celebrated our Preschool Dream Team at Faith City by giving them a special lunch and time to thank them for all the great serving they do week after week in ministering to our children... These guys are the best! We went over our FC kids Dream Team Pledge to remind our team about the importance of what they do. I wanted to share the Pledge with you, so you can see just what this Dream team is all about...
The PRE SCHOOL DREAM TEAM Pledge!
As a part of this team I will do all it takes to help every child that comes through our doors to understand and live out our vision, to: REACH UP; REACH OUT, AND REACH IN!

REACH UP - I will help every child to have a personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord, and help them keep their passion to follow Jesus all of their days!

REACH OUT - I will help every child become acquainted with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and to let their life shine for Jesus!

REACH IN – I will help to provide an environment for every child to develop their gifts and abilities; and to understand the importance of serving others!

PERSONALLY, I decide again today that I will live the rest of my life serving God’s purposes, with God’s people, on God’s planet, for God’s glory. I am committed to Jesus Christ my Lord, to Godly values, my family, my friends, and my church!

I promise to provide encouragement, support, and faithfulness to my fellow team mates!

I pledge that my life will celebrate His presence, cultivate His character, participate in His family, demonstrate His love, and share His Word! Thank you Lord Jesus for helping me keep my word! Your servant...

Thank you again to those of you that have committed your life to helping see our children grow up principled, with purpose and passion! Blessings, pastor Karl

Claim Your Independence Day!

This weekend we celebrate freedom all across America. It was bought for us through the uncommon valor and undying courage of men and women who thought it better to die for the cause of freedom, than live hearts shackled under the crushing bondage of servitude. Battles were fought, men died, families torn apart; but eventually, after the last battle, freedom was procured. Was the battle fought worth the freedom that ensued? Yes, most definitely!

And today we are the inheritors of this freedom. But freedom spurned is freedom lost. There is still a battle to be fought and won! This battle is for spiritual freedom in every man's heart. It is the battle of all battles in a man's life because the enemy of our soul has a stake. The enemy is using a strategy to convince us that the battles we face cannot be won, and that we should run! That's just not right! The strategy used is our culture, which will sway first our hearts, then our character, steal our passion to fight, and finally form our conduct toward our marriages, families, and the people around us.

Man of God, we are in a fight for our lives, we cannot buy in to the deception that our choices do not have consequences, they do. The battle is here, but the decision is yours... It's time to get in the fight, it's time to man up! And not just for us but for the lives of generations to come! Imagine the impact set into motion by one man risking all to win his battles. Generations of spiritual giants keeping the cause alive long after he dies.

This Independence weekend, I ask you to never forget, that the battles not over, but we win if we don't give up! Blessings, Karl
