I got this funny from a friend and thought best to share... good things!

'Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?'

'Yes. What can I do for you?'

'I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith. He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he's hidin' it there.'

'Thank you very much for the call, sir.'

The next day, twelve Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.

Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house. 'Hey, Virgil! This here's Floyd....Did the Sheriff come?'

'Did they chop your firewood?'

'Happy Birthday, buddy!'

Iron Men get strong in spirit and paint!

Faith City's men's ministry called "Iron Men" meet this last Saturday morning for some vision casting that God had me share.
I have been sensing for a while that it is time to take our men at Faith city to a new level of commitment to God, our families, and our church...
We decided as a band of brothers to take it up a level in our Jesus lifestyle. It was an awesome time together.
We all prayed a commitment to develop Christlikeness in our life and become world changers by starting with ourselves...

Then it was on to PaintBall Wars 1,"The Awakening!" More to come!

Dad Note

This picture is from last year Fathers Day with my 4 wonderful, perfect children that let me take credit for some of the greatness in them. From left to right; Jeremy, Tabitha, me, Andrew, and Jason... you all are making great choices and building great families...

And now a letter to my father who went to heaven in 9 years ago.
Thank you Dad for being my Protector, Provider, Confidant, and Friend as I was a child living among my own insecurities... You started the flame in me to find my cause, and in Christ I did! I also found the perfect Father that shows us constantly how to live it out... Thank you, Charles J Barancik, I miss you.

Fathers, take your children by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master. Eph 6:4 Message Bible

Got Oil?

I feel that the oil spill will have ongoing effects for quite some time... Small strides are being made, but couldn't more be done sooner? I found 10 things that could of been implemented from day three of four at least... We need to pray for some wisdom to get things moving...

Anyway I am quoting an article here from Redstate editor Erick Erickson. He has compiled a Top 10 list of things to alleviate the disaster that President Obama could have done but did not. Here they are...

1. Accepted help from the Netherlands when they offered it shortly after the accident. The Dutch, experienced in the oil business, offered prompt help for oil skimming booms and plans to create barriers to stop the oil from infiltrating into wetland areas.

2. Suspended the Jones Act, as President Bush did after Katrina, to allow foreign vessels into American waters to assist with recovery without having to swap ships and transfer equipment onto American flagged vessels.

3. Suspended the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage laws, as President Bush did after Katrina, to allow rapid deployment of new workers to help with containment efforts.

4. Suspended FEMA contracting and bidding rules, as President Bush did after Katrina, to allow a more rapid assignment of contracts to assist with the recovery effort.

5. Allowed coastal governors to immediately begin dredging to create barrier islands.

6. Talked to BP's CEO to establish initial metrics for progress to gauge BP's response so the federal government would have ascertainable metrics to determine when federal intervention was needed. Heck, Obama should have talked to BP's CEO period.

7. Not imposed a blanket deep water drilling moratorium, further crippling economies in coastal communities.

8. Talked to experts about how to fix the problem instead of trying to figure out whose "a_ _ to kick."

10. Not have wasted time trying to blame the accident on George Bush before diving in to take responsibility.

OK, Back to me, Karl... Honestly, we can get past asking, "Who to blame, Who's responsible, and who will pay?" We must start doing SOMETHING now, that's all I'm saying...

In everything you do stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. Phil 2:14-15 NLT

In these two verses I find help. Why? Because sometimes it is easier to complain and criticize, but it doesn't solve anything, matter of fact it usually makes things worse. Paul encouraged the Philippians to get some self-control. See, complaining and arguing kills a peaceful spirit in our homes, workplace, and our own heart. God wants us blameless and shining bright in this crazy world, so when people come out f their deception they will come to us to help them find the answers they need.

A dear friend of mine, Larry Huggins reminded me the other night while he was preaching that, “If we are complaining and arguing about what the government is doing, then we must be looking and trusting them for our answers. But they don't have our answers, they don't even know the question! The enemy is deceiving us, if we as christians are looking to the natural, carnal man to take care of us! Our help comes from the Lord, and we need to be seeking Him, so we can help our world find the One who can pull them out of deception.”

Great words, bro... I will live as a shining light of hope for my world, will you?

Idiot Alert! Another one on the Loose!

I am a Christian and I do love people, but have you ever had a person cause you to pray to not curse them out... Take for instance Helen Thomas an aged White House reporter for UPI who is unashamedly racist!

I found this article called, "Helen Thomas: Jews Go Home– To Germany!" By DAVID FORSMARK on JUNE 5 2010.

QUOTE: "After decades of deranged and hateful commentary, Helen Thomas may have finally crossed a line that will cost her her job… (what IS her “job” anyway?) The following interview shows the scope of this crazy wingnut...

RABBI DAVID NESENOFF, “…any comments on Israel?”

THOMAS: Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine…

NESENOFF: So where should they go, what should they do?

THOMAS: Go home

NESENOFF: Where is home

THOMAS: Poland, Germany…

Of course, as everyone but Thomas and Ahmadinejad knows, there were about 6 million Jews that were not given the opportunity to leave Poland and Germany in the first place…

This racist and Anti-Semite reporter calls Islamists terrorists attacking U.S. troops freedom fighters, but Jews defending their nation are terrorists.

It’s amazing that someone who will so casually call America and Israel terrorist-states has such a prominent place at the head of the White House press corps." UNQUOTE

I think Ms. Ugly should get the Idiot Award for the Week! O.K. now I will concentrate on God's goodness, blessings to you, Karl
