2011- Here We Go!

As you get ready to move into twenty eleven, there are some things you can do to better facilitate crossing over. First of all remember that whatever you face no matter how impossible it might look, God always has a specifically, tailor made plan for your life.
Here are some key things to meditate on... Remember that God has a plan for me. Jeremiah 29:11 says; “I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Also know that you can find God’s plan for your life, by walking in faith. “We live by faith, not by sight.” according to 2 Corinthians 5:7.
The Bible declares that you and I have the ability to hear God’s plan… So be available to hear and obey God's voice this new year, because some great things are being released that were held up by the enemy, but he can't stop them any more...
Two more Bible verses that I will mention here are...
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” James 1:5
I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people. But let them not return to their foolish ways. Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so our land will be filled with his glory.” Psalm 85:8-9
Blessed New Year to you... Karl

My Three Sons Coming!

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 NAS

Over the years Kathi and I have had the privilege to raise up 4 wonderful children. We certainly didn't always know what we were doing or what to do, but our trust was in God's Word. Just knowing that God had already figured out how to parent gave us the faith and resolve to do it. Were we perfect parents? No way, but that's OK... the key is to keep love and forgiveness close in the home, and keep God's Word even closer...

Well coming up this Sunday at our church Faith City, I will be sharing along with my three sons Andrew, Jason, and Jeremy all about growing up together... the good, bad, and maybe even the ugly... Come out and join us this Sunday at 10:00am. You might enjoy our sharing time and may you to find confidence through the Word of God for every area of your life... Be blessed friends, oh and Merry Christmas,  Karl

In something for 30 years, can't shake it!

That's right, I have been in a love relationship with a brown eyed fox named Kathi Lee... so I composed her a poem.

She loves me, respects me, and this is for sure...
Heart totally given and then given some more...
She notices my moods, she fixed my past...
She helps build our future, with Kathi, it's a blast...
I know where I'm going, and she's right by my side...
together forever, husband and bride...

Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. Prov 19:14
Thank you baby for giving me you, what a gift... Karl

Joy in the City!

There is a river that brings joy to the city of God, the holy place where God Most High lives.
God is in that city, and so it will not be shaken. God will help her at dawn.
Nations tremble and kingdoms shake. God shouts and the earth crumbles.
The Lord All-Powerful is with us; the God of Jacob is our defender.
Come and see what the Lord has done, the amazing things he has done on the earth.
Ps 46:4-8

Have a peace filled Christmas season... Blessings, Karl

Entering Marriage with Guns Blazing!

With her 22cal. rifle at 90 feet Oakley reputedly could split a playing card and put five or six more holes in it before it touched the ground.

In 1881 the famous Baughman and Butler shooting act was going on in Cincinnati. Frank E Butler, the star of the show boasted that he could beat any local fancy shooter. He bet a hotel owner $100 who arranged a shooting match and Butler was quite surprised on knowing that a young girl had accepted his challenge. In a short while Butler was face to face with Oakley in the shooting competition which he lost and Annie won and simultaneously they lost their hearts to each other. After this Frank began dating Annie which eventually led to a happy marriage and partnership of 44 years.

Frank gave up his career to manage hers as her talent and luck landed her a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show where she performed and this eventually shot her to fame as she went on to become the first American female superstar.
Annie died in 1926 and a heart broken Frank followed her to the grave 18 days after Annie.
Just shows you that guns and marriage can go together... Blessings!

Chuck and Joan Barancik did it!

I went over to my moms house the other day to look through old family photos and we came across the only one that she had of their wedding... I thought about how everybody today takes photos of everything... takes them for granted... But I took alot of pictures from my moms and I'm putting them on a CD for her... Love you Mom, I miss Dad too. Dad you taught your sons some great lessons in life, one being; "always love her and do her right"!

Iran, North Korea, Cuba teach U.S. human rights?

I wanted to share some comments from crazies around the world that were trying to school us on human rights... another clear case that there are people in places of authority that are absolutely nuts! Another case of calling good evil by those who are evil!

Reprinted from "November 25, 2010, By Bob Unruh, World Net Daily"
"The results of the Obama administration's decision to submit the United States to the evaluation of the U.N.'s Human Rights Council, a procedure snubbed by the Bush administration because of the records of those on the panel, are starting to appear, and they include harsh condemnation from such human rights "leaders" as Cuba, Libya, and Iran.

Esther Brimmer, an assistant secretary in the bureau of international organization affairs under Obama, talked about what an "honor" it was for the U.S. to be put under the scrutiny of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Castro regime and others.

Here is some of the criticism...

  • From Cuba came a recommendation "to end the blockade against Cuba, which is described as a crime of genocide … to put on trial the perpetrators of torture … to put an end to the persecution and execution of mentally ill persons and minors and discrimination against persons of African origin." Additionally, the Cuban delegation insisted the U.S. "ensure realization of rights of food and health of all who live in their territory."

  • From Iran was a call "to implement the following recommendations … to halt serious violations of human rights and humanitarian law … Legislate appropriate regulations to prevent the violation of individual privacy … to take effective measures to counter insults against Islam, as well as Islamophobia … and effectively combat violence against women."
  • North Korea: "We remain gravely concerned by persistent reports of systematic and widespread human rights violations committed by the United States of America, and recommends as the following: Take legislation and administrative measures to address a wide range of racial discrimination and inequalities in housing, employment and education…. Prohibiting and punishing the brutality… by law enforcement officials. Take effective measures to put an end to gross human rights abuse, including violence against women."
  • Not to be outdone, China said: "We have also noticed with concern that there are gaps in the U.S. laws protecting human rights … there is also a serious discrimination against Muslims and minority racial groups … in the name of fighting terror. The United States is also monitoring the exercise of its citizens' freedom of expression and the right to free Internet access. We have the following recommendations … ending excessive use of force by law enforcement agents .. modify the definition of discrimination in its laws to bring it in line with … international standards."

  • Said Libya: "The United States need to accede to international human rights instruments. … it should prosecute those responsible for violations of human rights in American prisons."

Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner, another U.S. spokesman dispatched by the Obama administration, said the U.S. was "humbled by the recognition that we need to continue and even redouble our efforts as we strive to make ours a more perfect union."

OK, my feelings are, what a load of crap! When we allow governments that are totally repressing human rights to school us, the crazies are running the nut house! Blessings to you anyway, Karl

Thanksgiving is a Christian holiday!

Thanksgiving is not just an American holiday. It is a Christian holiday.

Popular American nostalgia tells us that the first Thanksgiving was held by the Pilgrims in 1621 after the arrival of the Mayflower at Plymouth Rock. Their motivation? They were Christians.

The 1621 Pilgrim Thanksgiving in Massachusetts was a time of thanks giving to God. Governor William Bradford proclaimed the month of November to be dedicated to "Thanksgiving unto the Lord." Bradford wrote in his diary that their voyage and settlement was motivated by "a great hope for advancing the Kingdom of God."

In 1623, after a severe drought that ended at the conclusion of a colony-wide day of prayer and fasting, Bradford proclaimed another Thanksgiving - the Thanksgiving most Americans picture:

In as much as the great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat, peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetable, and has made the forests to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as he has protected us from the ravages of the savages, has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience; now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house, on ye hill, between the hours of 9 and 12 in the day time, on Thursday, November ye 29th, of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty-three, and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on ye Pilgrim Rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings. William Bradford, Ye Governor of Ye Colony.

So enjoy football, turkey, and family, but most of all, give God some praise for giving you a purpose, and a land with still freedom to bring the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the whole world. Think destiny, friend and have a good one!

Lets Honor the Veterans!

We remember those who were called upon to give all a person can give, and we remember those who were prepared to make that sacrifice if it were demanded of them in the line of duty, though it never was. Most of all, we remember the devotion and gallantry with which all of them ennobled their nation as they became champions of a noble cause.”

…President Ronald Reagan, Remarks on Veterans Day, 1988 at Vietnam Veterans Memorial

This week, America observes Veterans Day. We honor our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Guardsmen and Marines who’ve undertaken the responsibility of protecting our nation. Millions of veterans – our friends and neighbors – deserve our recognition this week for having fought during times of conflict; for standing post and keeping the peace; or for training and inspiring young Americans to do the same.

To all of our Veterans and our active duty Armed Forces, we salute you. Your service is admired and appreciated. God bless you!

The Dirt on the Chilean Miners!

I love how God was exalted during this weeks rescue of 33 Chilean miners... so I am reprinting a report by Lillian Kwon of Christian Post Reporter. Enjoy...

"When the 33 trapped miners in Chile emerged from underground, at least two dozen of them were wearing T-shirts that proclaimed "Gracias Senor," or "Thank you Lord.

Christian Maureira, national director of Campus Crusade for Christ in Chile, who helped provide the shirts, said the miners wanted to recognize and thank God publicly as the world watched the anticipated rescue this week.

The miners were rescued on Tuesday and Wednesday after being trapped in the San Jose mine in Chile since the Aug. 5 cave-in.

During the 10-week stint some 2,000 feet underground, Jose Henriquez, 55, stepped up as a spiritual leader in the group, leading prayer services at noon and 6 p.m. each day. “I am fine because Christ lives in me," wrote Henriquez, who is part of a Pentecostal church. He also quoted the Old Testament passage Psalms 95:4 – "In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him." That passage was printed on the back of the T-shirts that a majority of the miners wore as they were pulled out to safety this week.

Also, several of the miners gave testimonies about meeting God while trapped.

Responding to those who wonder where God was during other cave-ins where miners died, the CCC Chile director commented, "I believe that God is sovereign and all miners – either those that have survived or those who have died – accomplish the will of God." Unquote.

I am reminded of that famous quote about, "There are no atheists in the foxhole"! Probably none buried underground for 69 days either! Blessings...

Courageous Men are Different!

The COURAGEOUS Men's Event is coming to the Tri County area on Saturday, Oct 23rd!

I'm calling out to Champions everywhere to come and sharpen your spiritual swords for the battle! Go to to register or for more info...

Here are more Champion thoughts leading up to the event...

You are created to be a warrior, like JESUS!

The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3

I did not come to bring peace, but a sword…and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Matthew 10:34; 38

Our biggest fight is the one inside us... To battle against the tests and temptations that will try to shake our foundation and steal our integrity... these battles every man must win!

Every warrior has a cause to fight for.

Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes. Nehemiah 4:14

Fight, and you may die. Run, and you'll live. At least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance—just one chance—to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, [raising his sword over his head] but they’ll never take…OUR FREEDOM!” William Wallace in Braveheart

Find your cause and fight for it... You have the nature to fight, the instinct, but make it the right cause, the reason you were created... Many a warrior without a cause to fight for has found the wrong thing to fight against, and has wasted his strength in the wrong battle...

I'm thinking about a man!

The COURAGEOUS Men's Event is coming to the Tri County area on Saturday, Oct 23rd! This is for every man that's smart enough to know that he's not done growing yet... Go to to register or for more info...

With men in mind I wanted to share some short thoughts leading up to the event... here's one

You, Man of God, are created to be like Jesus, the Shepherd!

I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. John 10:14

Like Jesus, a Courageous man takes responsibility for his family. His wife and children are safe because the man of God isn't missing in action!

3 things the Courageous man does!

1) He leads courageously.

The shepherd calls his own sheep by name and leads them out...his sheep follow him because they know his voice. John 10:3-4

Our families will follow if we can give them courageous leadership... they are waiting for you... I know you want to, so be released in Jesus Name!

2) He protects bravely.

David said… When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. 1 Samuel 17:34

Don't let your family be carried off by worldly lies, step in the gap... they are needing you like never before!

3) He loves sacrificially.

The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:11

For the good of your family, love like never before... they deserve it all from us man of God!
