Decisions are important, because they project our destiny… The decisions you make; make you… good or bad. And making good choices isn’t the result of a feeling or of intellect; but of a predictable process…

The Bible declares that if we find Wisdom we will make good decisions... look at Proverbs 3:13,17 NLT... “Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying…”

God’s Wisdom will guide us in making better decisions... Here are some guidance questions I try to ask myself before I make major decisions. I haven’t always made the best decisions, but my batting average is getting better when I adhere to the wonderful Wisdom of God’s Word. See if these questions help you make better decisions...

1. What does GOD say?

Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. Proverbs 28:26 NLT

2. Is the TIME right?

Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good. If you act too quickly, you might make a mistake. Proverbs 19:2 NCV

3. What do I need to KNOW?

Get the facts at any price, and hold on tightly to all the good sense you can get. Proverbs 23:23 TLB

Anyone who answers without listening is foolish and confused. Proverbs 18:13 NCV

4. Who can I LISTEN TO?

The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15 NIV

The more good advice you get, the more likely you are to win. Proverbs 24:6 TEV

Plans succeed through good counsel… Proverbs 20:18 NLT

5. Is it WORTH it?

Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost. Proverbs 20:25 NLT

6. Who else is it going to EFFECT?

Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. Romans 14:12-13 TLB

God-loyal people, living honest lives, make it much easier for their children. Proverbs 20:7 NLT

Living by Wisdom is not rocket science, but simply walking by the Word... and doing so will better your life and those around you...
