Welcome to 2010!

Happy New Year to you and may God’s Word help you rise to a new level in 2010. I have a word for you that can bring a difference in your outcome this year, and it’s the word, “Generous”! I believe when we understand how generous God is toward us, that it should wake up the same desire in us. In 2 Peter 1:3 we are told, “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life”. Then verse 4 continues, “And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These promises enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption.”

God’s big generosity toward us has totally liberated us, changed us, and blessed us, and to that I am so thankful it makes me want to be generous like my heavenly Father.

Meditate on these excellent verses on the generous person and make the decision that 2010 will be the year to be one…

A generous man himself will be blessed. Prov. 22:9

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Prov.11: 25

Good will come to him who is generous ... Ps. 112:5

Start 2010 remembering how generous God is…

Always remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the ability to produce wealth. Deut. 8:18

My Prayer for You...

Merry Christmas and May you live the reality that Jesus bought us through His birth, death, and resurrection. We are living in a time that trusting God and His Word will be the dividing line between those that are blessed and those that are not. I believe that 2010 will be a season of overflow; overflowing in favor, miracles, and in the glory of God. All of His covenant blessings will be accelerated into our lives, if we will obey His voice. Isaiah 1:19 confirms it; “If you are willing and obedient, you will experience the good of the land”.

Let me encourage you to make sure that God’s voice is the first voice you hear every morning… His voice is the one that really matters anyway. So many voices are vying for our attention, but can they really deliver the peace, the wisdom, or the answers that God’s voice can? After you hear His voice, the critical

words of others will have little affect on you… After you hear His voice, the fear-laden words of those around you will not influence you… After you hear God’s voice you will be able to face every evil report with faith and confidence.

“Great peace have they which love Your word, and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is settled on You, because they trust in You.” Isaiah 26:3

We know that God will cause all things to work together for our good in our lives. So let go of everything that slowed you down, and get a new perspective for 2010… Expect to hear His voice, trust Him, and don’t ever stop or give up. Your future is in His hands and it’s good!

Blessings and Peace, Pastor Karl.

God's Appropriations Bill is Good News

With economies on the spiral downward, with bailouts compounding, with fear crippling like a drug, and with voices heralding crisis after crisis, there is one place that hasn’t bought in, one economy that hasn’t been affected at all... And that my friend is the kingdom of God. See, God has never participated in any local or global overwhelming crisis except one that loomed over the earth just after the beginning of time... It was a global crisis that literally stole the heart, soul, and resolve of man, but God decided to fix it, once and for all time by sending His son, Jesus Christ with a global bailout of mega proportions...

This is such a through and complete bailout nothing more is needed, except for each individual person that touches down on planet earth to accept this appropriations bill that Jesus paid for, and enter into the kingdom where all things are new, and all plans are good, and all things work together for our best...

I listed some scriptures that give us hope in this present hopeless culture...

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Jeremiah 29:11

“Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone.” Eph 1:11 Amp

Not only does He have a plan; but He is working out – everything – that comes our way to conform to His plan. So if you are struggling today with lack, maybe it’s the lack that Hosea 4:6 talks about, “My people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge.”

The truth is that you and I must know the Word to possess it. We must believe the Word to receive it. It is up to each of us how far and deep we will go in Christ.

It will be according to the degree of Word we know and act on. Don’t be caught up in all the fear claims made by those who don’t live in the Kingdom of God. Dig in the book today and make a lifestyle habit to daily read and study the scriptures.

Remember to “Seek the Kingdom first and these others things will be added”... There is no shortage in His Kingdom!

Cupcakes and Sprinkles Rule

Had Ethan and Aliyah (grand babies) over for the night, and the project was cupcake decorating... I heard that the more sprinkles one uses the higher the I.Q. As you can see these two are geniuses...

BTW, I had to use the camera in my mac computer because Tabitha borrowed my camera and my iphone was out of service... so pics a little grainy...

But everything ends well, just like it's suppose to...

Chuck prayed for a Preacher!

One of the most important lessons I have learned over the years is this... “We are God's plan for reaching and healing a broken world". He just needs a body to work through. Jesus gave God a body to work through. That's why we can have a relationship with God today, because of Jesus.
And then also the virgin Mary gave God a body to work through, a womb to birth through… Have you given God a body, a life, if you will, to work through?

I am reminded of a man named Charles, ordinary in every way… had a wife and two children, a little boy and girl. His wife was pregnant with her third child and the baby’s birth was hard on both the mom and baby. The little baby boy had one of his lungs collapsed, so the doctor said, “You better call your priest…he won’t last long.
Charles must of believed that God had a different idea… So he excused himself from his darling wives side… saying I’ll be back in a little bit… Charles found his way to the hospitals chapel room… knelt down and cried out to God… He said,” God please allow my son to live, and I will give him to you to preach the Gospel”. By praying for his son Charles gave God a body to work through.

Chuck is in heaven now, BUT the story continues because some years later that boy did become a preacher, and I thank God every day for my daddy, Charles J Barancik, that gave God a body to work through.

Kathi telling on me publicly...

Kathi and I have started teaching a series on Marriage at our church Faith City... We are having fun doing it too!

I start it out with a couple points and Kathi adds icing to it...

Hearing a lot of good reports already from Faith City family along with emails and comments from others that are seeing it or hearing it online...
We will continue for the next two Sundays, by the way, there is a lot of things we are sharing for those that are single also, so this series is for everybody... we can all get a better perspective on what it takes to have a godly marriage...

Kathi and I are talking about doing more series together in 2010 on family and other subjects...

Let me know what teaching subjects would be good for us to tackle in 2010... Blessings, Karl
