My Time with Ethan, my golf buddy...

I got to take my grandson Ethan to a golf driving range and it was super fun...

I know he was looking forward to it all day...

First up... Ethan was thinking, "What do we do first?"

Well we need to get set up with our alignment to the ball...

Then we need to make
some practice swings...

And there he goes... a great natural swing...

One of the balls Ethan hit hit another ball out in the field... He said, " Wow my ball kissed another ball, just like you kiss a beautiful women".
We finished up our range time at Uncle Rays where Ethan informed me what was good there... Papa, we call this Cookie dough, thick shake... it's good... and it was...

Taking the Babies for a Walk

Aliyah and I took a morning stroll around my neighborhood...

The babies were wide awake...

We looked at many interesting things...

Then... the sidewalk was missing... But we found it and got back alright...

                      We both just loved it...

Shopping with Papa and Nana

We went to get some
fruit at store...
everything is fun
doing it together...

We needed to get Blueberries and, oh yeah, a big purple ball...
Then we take all of our stuff home and fix a bowl of grapes, Blueberries, and Kiwi fruit...

And we are not sure about the Kiwi... but we sure are happy to be at Nanas and Papas...

And now the doughboy too

With some famous folks passing, it makes you think seriously about where you will spend eternity... When I made Jesus Lord some years ago that settled the matter for me... how about you?

I thought this next story was funny, don't be offended... just laugh...

Sad News:
Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.  The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.  Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, The Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch.  The grave site was piled high with flours.            Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers.  He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes.  Despite being a little flakey at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children:  John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven.  He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20  minutes.

Happy Birthday

My grandson Ethan made this in his daycare, Learning Zone... and is wanting you to celebrate this wonderful 4th of July

Happy Birthday America... We all have a destiny... if we choose to accept it... and it involves you, God and country...

I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us, I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God. I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision. Carl Sandburg

There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America. Bill Clinton

America will never run... And we will always be grateful that liberty has found such brave defenders. George W. Bush

Europe will never be like America. Europe is a product of history. America is a product of philosophy. Margaret Thatcher

All great change in America begins at the dinner table. Ronald Reagan

Prayer and Nails

My granddaughter Aliyah was with me in the office this morning...

We were working hard, praying over the communication cards that are collected every Sunday from our church family...

We pray for marriages to grow, financial needs to be met, and other personal things to be taken care of...

and while we prayed, we also had to bang some nails and turn some screws... it made a challenging and rewarding day...

thank you Aliyah for the help...

Peace, Popi

Put action to it...

2 Timothy 2:15 in the Message version of the Bible states the following,"Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won't be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple."
Pretty straightforward don't you think. A lot of folks claim to be faith people in public, but in private they never open their bibles, talk to God, or meditate the Scriptures... Then when trouble comes they fall flat on their face.
The Bible also says in James 2:20 that, "faith without corresponding actions is dead". In other words, It's time to put some action to our words...
What can I do to get started, you may ask?

First you need to study the Word of God... How? Read it, listen to it on CD, memorize it, meditate on it... These are all ways to get God's Word in you, and working through you...
Second thing you can do is go to where the Word is being preached and taught... Don't forget what Romans 10:17 says , "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God"... You belong in a faith filled church, and need to show up when the doors are open... There is nothing like setting under the anointing of the Word as it is being preached to cleanse you and refire you with faith...
And the third thing is start confessing the Word of God. Find the promise of God that covers your situation and start declaring out loud what God says about you... and that it is done now, in Jesus name...
It is time to get serious about God's word, because it will totally change your life for good if you let it... Peace, Karl
