A Walk of Faith
I never cease being amazed by God’s great promises and His great Word that He has given us to live overcoming lives.
The Apostle Paul expresses God’s lifestyle for us in 2 Corinthians 5:7... “For we walk by faith, we regulate our lives and conduct according to our conviction and trust in God and His Covenant Word; and not by what we observe or by what makes appearance in this natural world order.” WOW! Here is an answer to how to live the overcoming life. A lot of folks are basing their decisions, getting their thoughts, and regulating their lives according to what is going on around them, instead of taking God at His Word and basing decisions on what the Word of God says.
What does it mean, “to walk by faith”? To regulate our lives and conduct by faith means to regulate our lives according to the Word. Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans10: 17). So if you don’t know what the word says, you will not have faith in that area, and by default you will walk according to what the world, or your senses, or the media tells you... in other words, you will regulate your life according to what you see around you... Listen; until you see something different, you will never have anything different in your life.
I have learned over the years that I cannot pray for faith, hope for faith, or work for faith, no; faith comes by hearing the Word of God... So, hear more Word, more faith will be available, but if I allow less Word in my life, I will have less faith available to act on in my life... and it’s the same for you. Like it or not, the fact is that everyone of us must operate our lives according to the principles of God’s Word if we want to be successful in this life, and the overcoming power of faith comes by getting your heart and mind in the Word.
Over the years I have seen that the choices I make based on walking by faith have always brought me victory... and I encourage you today to get back to hearing, meditating, memorizing, and studying the Word of God... because faith will come, and as you act on that faith you will have the overcoming life God has always envisioned for you...
Think about it... God has given us His Word to win in life and we have the free will to choose life, so now is the time to walk by faith... Peace, Karl
