No Guessing with God

It amazes me how many people think of God as unpredictable when it comes to His promises in the Word. 

Like God wants to keep us guessing... I’m sure you too have heard others say, “ well, you never know what God is going to do”... 

This idea is based on the verse of scripture found in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that says, “Eye has not seen or ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those that love Him”
Some have interpreted this to mean that God is keeping secrets from us. But here is the truth; He’s not keeping things from us. If you read the next verse (verse 10), we are told; “But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yes, even the deep things of God”. Wow, here’s the deal, God isn’t keeping secrets from us, He’s trying to reveal secrets to us... God wants us to know everything that He thinks, feels, and knows about us and our future. Praise God... If you are in the dark about God’s will and plans for your life, you don’t have to be any longer. 

He wants to reveal all these good things to us, but that revelation comes from the Holy Spirit... so we must determine from this point forward that we will start listening and receiving from Holy Spirit. 

As you read the Word, also pray in the spirit, and let revelation of the scriptures come alive in you; and ask God how they apply to you personally. Take time to listen to God and you will never have to wander or wonder in guesswork again...

FAITH IS OUR DOORWAY TO UNLIMITED LIFE.



The Bible is all about faith, and walking according to our faith... Why so much emphasis? Because that is how God operates and He created us in His image. The great hero’s of the bible are applauded because of their faith. 

Look what the scriptures say about Abraham...
“So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.” Gal 3:9
Abraham is called “the man of faith”
... and people of faith are blessed... Now that can be you and me, anyone who will live by faith will be blessed... 

A great definition for blessed is, “empowered to prosper; and to be in control of your situation and circumstances”. God created us to be in charge, to take dominion of our circumstances... and it happens when we use faith...
I like how Eph. 3:20 reads... “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”...
God can work in powerful ways in our life, that’s His power working in us... which is our faith... 
We might not have the manifestation of what we need or want, but we can, if we will use our faith... Trust God... and watch things happen...

I am so ready for Sunday service... you won't want to miss as we share about this Faith that works in us... Don't forget that we are expecting new folks every week to come to Christ and see their lives, families, and circumstances get better... and together we can achieve this goal if we are continually adding to our faith and bringing in the lost. Come expecting God to move in the lives of friends and family members this weekend and He will...

Kingdom Economics for You!

I realize that God is never subject to the winds of economic change, and we don’t have to be either. The Kingdom of God revolves around King Jesus. What He has established for all those who have committed to His Kingship, is what we receive. He has given us precious promises in the Covenant, and you and I must remind ourselves daily of them. When financially tough times threaten your kingdom stance, we must continue to trust and confess what God’s Word declares. Look what some of these great promises include...
God promises:
To provide for you…
"Don't ever worry and say, 'What are we going to eat?' or 'What are we going to drink?' or 'What are we going to wear?' Everyone is concerned about these things, and your heavenly Father certainly knows you need all of them. But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you” Matthew 6:31-33 GW.

To help you deal with what happens every day…
"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes” Matthew 6:34 Msg.

To give you rest…
"Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28 NCV.

To lift you up…
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” 1 Peter 5:6-7 NIV.

To meet all your needs…
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19 NIV.

A Walk of Faith


I never cease being amazed by God’s great promises and His great Word that He has given us to live overcoming lives.
The Apostle Paul expresses God’s lifestyle for us in 2 Corinthians 5:7... “For we walk by faith, we regulate our lives and conduct according to our conviction and trust in God and His Covenant Word; and not by what we observe or by what makes appearance in this natural world order.” WOW! Here is an answer to how to live the overcoming life. A lot of folks are basing their decisions, getting their thoughts, and regulating their lives according to what is going on around them, instead of taking God at His Word and basing decisions on what the Word of God says.

What does it mean, “to walk by faith”? To regulate our lives and conduct by faith means to regulate our lives according to the Word.
Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans10: 17). So if you don’t know what the word says, you will not have faith in that area, and by default you will walk according to what the world, or your senses, or the media tells you... in other words, you will regulate your life according to what you see around you... Listen; until you see something different, you will never have anything different in your life.

I have learned over the years that I cannot pray for faith, hope for faith, or work for faith, no; faith comes by hearing the Word of God... So, hear more Word, more faith will be available, but if I allow less Word in my life, I will have less faith available to act on in my life... and it’s the same for you. Like it or not, the fact is that everyone of us must operate our lives according to the principles of God’s Word if we want to be successful in this life, and the overcoming power of faith comes by getting your heart and mind in the Word.

Over the years I have seen that the choices I make based on walking by faith have always brought me victory...
and I encourage you today to get back to hearing, meditating, memorizing, and studying the Word of God... because faith will come, and as you act on that faith you will have the overcoming life God has always envisioned for you...

Think about it... God has given us His Word to win in life and we have the free will to choose life, so now is the time to walk by faith... Peace, Karl

To Belong Is So Important...



I have been gone from the blog for awhile... writing in some different arenas, but I had a thought... We just completed another Membership class at out church Faith City and I was meditating on the aspect that God created all of us to believe, but also, and I think just as important, to belong... Ed Cole says; "To belong", is one of man's 4 basic desires... We need others in our life, for friendship, for mentoring, for accountability, and for safety... The Bible says that there is safety in good counsel in those we trust... How about you? Who do you go to for good counsel? We need others, don't we? 
How about accountability? Do you have a friend that can challenge you to live right and follow up to check on how you're doing? 
How about a great friend that will go to bat for you in a tough time, they are worth their weight in gold... I really sense that God had a reason when He created you when He did, and where he did... because He wanted you to know the "powerful force of belonging"... 
In the Book of Genesis God created man and then said, "It's not good for man to be alone... I will make someone compatible for him"... and the principle is the same today... 
God has made people that are compatible for you and me, to encourage, motivate, befriend, and to help us grow up... 
If you have a friend, remind them... if you don't, try being friendly, starting with some of your church family, I'm sure you can find some wonderful people there.. You belong in this world, you're not a mistake, and you belong with friends, you're not a loner, and you belong in a group of people of like faith, you can't fight all of you're battles alone, let others put their faith with yours, and watch great things happen...
