TapOut to the Truth

I'm wearing my Tapout shirt to remind myself of the following Bible truth concerning money and giving... To tapout means you give up in your own strength before it's to late... and that's the idea here...

Revelation of God's truths are designed to release us from our own trying... and gives us faith to trust Him to do it in us and through us...

so here's some revelation about money that might cause you to tapout(give up in own power) and trust Him.

In Luke 16:11-13 Jesus gives us a money principle for our lives...
If you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Every time you and I come into church gathering and we give our money... we are making the most powerful god of this world bow its knee to the great God of heaven and earth!

Money is like the ruling god in most people’s life.

When Jesus said that we must make a choice who we will serve, He didn’t say choose between God or family; God or sex; God or business; or God or personal preferences... NO... He said choose between God and money!

Every time you make money submit itself to God- you gain mastery over it... You gain mastery over it and God gains lordship over it...

Time to Change Your Mind!

We can change for better just by changing our thinking tract.

Rom. 12:2 tells us, “Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed, by the renewing of our mind…”. What a powerful truth of change through what we allow to dominate our mind. Renewing our mind will take us from where the world wants us to settle, to where God wants us to be.

One thought can change your destiny. One right thought can bring your breakthru! One wrong thought can break you!

Jesus taught us in Matt.6: 25-34 to; “…take no thought saying”. He basically was instructing us to watch the powerful influence of thoughts we allow in, because they will influence our speaking them out, which will set our course for success or failure. Oh, the importance of thinking right.  This is the way for us all to experience breakthroughs from God. God is so good and you, our friends and church family... are all such blessings to Kathi and me... we believe and confess His best over you this year of 2009...

Obama Sworn in as 44th President

As I was in the office today and couldn't watch the Presidential Inauguration... my wife Kathi was able to... and she was touched by a lot of the ceremony. She sent me an email with her thoughts and I told her I was putting them on my blog... so here goes...

Kathi say's..." I'm watching only the beginning, the preliminaries - waiting for the Inauguration of our first African-American President. Whew. It's breathtaking. Just think of the importance of this event. .. The heritage of this people is not of those who left their homes of their own free will to find a new freedom, but it is of those who were taken from their already free homes & family by violent force to serve others. For 200 years there has been a hidden restriction, saying "so far - no farther". But, today, this man will be "the man", the leader of the free world. No gunshots. No bloodshed. No violence... but the uniquely American -peaceful transfer of power that this nation has enjoyed since it earned its freedom. We are a blessed nation.

While watching President Bush and his wife Laura receive President Elect Obama and his wife Michelle on the White House steps for the transition to a new Presidential leadership - I am trying to not cry. I am so proud of both of these couples. They exude grace to each other. President Bush has done an exemplary job of clearing the way for the new president. He made a way to do the security clearance necessary for the new president's chosen appointments early, so there would be no delay
in the transference of power. He purposefully has done all he could to make a smooth transition - to give the new president a good head start. And now we're watching it happen.

So sweet! Michelle Obama brought a packaged gift to hand to Laura Bush. They all shook hands and gave hugs on the steps of the White House. I don't believe they are each others favorite .. but they all respect each other's gifts and talents. They all believe in the position and traditions of this powerful office of the president, and this nation. Now, they and their families are meeting in the Oval office, with the Bush's as the hosts before the Inauguration.. soon, the Obama's will be the hosts. It is both an overwhelming and emotional time for all involved. I feel so proud of them all. What a wonderful day. A man that can be someone young boys can emulate and desire to follow in lieu of sports figures who make it big - then fill their lives with drugs and criminal activities. Its a great day!

Time to pray! Time to thank the Lord for our blessings. To thank the Lord that we live in a nation with such a wonderful peaceful transfer of power. Time to pray for President Obama to have wisdom and protection.

The Church, Mt Zion on top of the Snow!

Snow ,more snow... I guess this is Michigan and we should expect it, but it seems to have snuck up on us in December and just continue... But I am convinced that Michigan has some of the hardiest Christians, because even though it seems to want to snow the hardest and deepest on Saturday night... Gods people still come out in the elements on Sunday morning... It is awesome... we want the corporate anointing and the Word of God preached to us no matter what... We know that it's the Word of God that changes us, restores us, heals us, delivers us... so we come no matter what... It is warm inside the building and in our hearts, and there is free coffee... so that's good too. And at Faith City we know we will be accepted no matter what we are dealing with or going through... And we know our children will be taken care of well when we show up on Sunday for the service. The series called Blessed is doing just that... It is blessing us with God's revelation of how He spoke the Blessing over us and wants us to live in it... So despite what the weather says... we say, " Onward Christian soldiers, be in service on Sunday to give God the worship that is due His name... and to receive the revelation of His word and so it will change us..."

Blessed is our Default Position

Started our new series called BLESSED this last weekend and wow it was off the hook... We had three ministers visiting because they are board members along with myself for a missions outreach called Tree of Life in Honduras, S.A. and we had the annual board meeting here at Faith City... Anyway I had them all get up and share about the Blessing of the Lord and it was awesome... great nuggets of truth came out and we were helped in knowing that God's default position for the believer is blessed... You just might want to show up next Sunday for part 2... we will tackle this subject for a while... because I think that many Christians have forgotten that God wants them to walk in the Blessing... no matter what the economy, government, or devil says about it... Gos has decided to NOT participate in the recession, and so should we... God's Word declares that..."My God shall meet all my needs according to His riches in glory", and "The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want". That is what I believe... Another verse I am meditating on is Proverbs 10:22 which declares, "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it". See, I'm not blessed because I am rich, I am rich because I'm blessed. Also, I'm not blessed because I am healed, I am healed because I'm blessed... All of the covenant can manifest in my life because of the Blessing... It's the Blessing that God spoke over us back in the garden of Eden and we can experience it today... That's what the series is about and you won't want to miss any of it... so see you soon... Peace Karl

Here we go... 2009

Get ready for Godly breakthroughs this year. The key will be doing it His way. I thought of a couple things we could do right off the git go to bring a turnaround 1. Repent of wrong practices that might of got you where you are (1 John 1:9)... 2. Receive His words that bring revelation and life... such as.. Isa.43:18-19 "Forget the former things and do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing... I am making a way (for you) in the desert (turning around your tragedy's) and streams of blessing where once was waste." Also JJoshua 1:8-9, "Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Can you dig it, my friend. Only by doing it God's way will we be truly blessed. He knows what you need and how to make it happen for you. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding... and so confess right know, "Jesus You are the Lord of my breakthrough and I will trust Your Words of Life (BIBLE) over all other words I hear this year. I repent of the past and receive Your blessed future for me... The Divine in 2009... Amen." I can sense a change in the spiritual realm already, so lets go after 2009 renewed and full of faith... because the Lord is with us... Praise Him... Peace, Karl
