Hopeful future for all of us.

Congratulations to president elect Obama becoming the 44 president of the United States. What a great land we live in, full of differences, cultures , and backgrounds that we can use to divide or unite. I believe that no matter where you stand on the issues, and we don't all agree on all of them, we can work together on some, civilly disagree on others, and in everything ask God to give us wisdom that will continue to make America the great nation it has been. The scriptures tell us in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (MES), "The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live." I think this is the attitude to live in... Every day comes with it's own set of challenges, and that's why we're here to met them with God's love and grace and faith... Karl

  1. That is the best way to put it. We always need God help and so do our leaders. I'm hopeful for our futures and grateful for what's to come!! :)

  2. i look foward to the time of seeing whether promises made are kept...a great book, which i know you've already read, but others many not be aware of, for sucking it up and humbling ourselves to the authority around us in our lives is "spiritual authority" by watchman nee. it completely came to mind last night upon the outcome of the election. negativity at this point won't help a soul, so good job on the positive spin pastor! blessings...
