Two weeks into Series

We started a new series called Get Smart... and it's based on God's wisdom to make every area of your life successful. God's word has all the answers for our life... and if we can dig out the wisdom like treasure, we will have things go better for us... Today I talked about making Smart Decisions. Decisions are important, because they project our destiny… The decisions you make; make you… good or bad. I gave some questions to ask ourselves before we make decisions so that we won't continue to make rash decisions based on feelings or intellect, but based on a predictable process…here they are, along with some of the scriptures we used...
1. What does GOD say?
Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. Proverbs 28:26 NLT
2. Is the TIME right?
Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good. If you act too quickly, you might make a mistake. Proverbs 19:2 NCV
3. What do I need to KNOW?
Get the facts at any price, and hold on tightly to all the good sense you can get. Proverbs 23:23 TLB
Anyone who answers without listening is foolish and confused. Proverbs 18:13 NCV
4. Who can I LISTEN TO?
The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15 NIV The more good advice you get, the more likely you are to win. Proverbs 24:6 TEV Plans succeed through good counsel… Proverbs 20:18 NLT
5. Is it WORTH it?
Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost. Proverbs 20:25 NLT
6. Who else is it going to EFFECT?
Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
Romans 14:12-13 TLB
Ask yourself these questions before you make a decision. they might help you to make better decisions that will pay off in better results... The full teaching should be up on our website by next week... But you can listen to week one now by going to and clicking on free podcast... Happy Memorial Day... Grace and peace...
