Snow What!

I felt like the climber in the picture this morning as I maneuvered my Audi 6 unto the highway to the airport, a normal 50 minute drive escalated into 2 and a half hours because of the snow storm... I should of left earlier, of course, but I didn't... It was 3 mile an hour driving with rush hour traffic, plus storm, WOW... I blew it... OK So I'm sitting in airport now with my great wife Kathi writing this blog because we missed our 9:28 flight to Houston but did manage to get reseated on the 12:18 flight... Good stuff... and the cheese omelet was cool... thank you, Jesus...
So Kathi and I are going to Galveston Island for a week, to rest, discover, walk on the beach, continue this wonderful story called in love with life and each other. We have decided to work on better health, better diet, and more lovin'... Our youngest son, Jeremy has moved out of home, traveling the whole year of 2008, with Seal America... which is stopping at every State capitol and holding a Communion service with believers of every background, it is huge... more about that later. I have to say, God is good, He knows how to put two people together, Kathi is just exactly what I have needed to keep me flowing and going right... Think we will go to our gate now, and get out of snow for a minute...

Grace, Grace, and more Grace...

Ramping up for week 4 on "The Amazing Grace" series, I realize again just how great His Grace is toward us... Romans 5:17 tells us that if we can get our head around this... "abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness then we can reign in this life"... God so much wants us to live lives of over comers... and this is how it's done. By just believing and accepting His great grace, bought for us by Jesus Christ, then we qualify to reign in life... WOW, how exciting life is when we realize and accept that it's not by our works, but by faith in His grace that we are saved, healed, prospered, delivered, and blessed. Nailing yourself to the cross isn't good enough... but believing and accepting Jesus' sacrifice on His cross for our sin's and shortcomings gets you into the family of God and His blessings... will you receive Jesus as your Lord today? Peace...

Real Texas Super Lady

I was down in Houston Texas last week with a pastor friend Jim Scalise... Jim is blessed with health, just recovering from a mild heart attack, so I was there just hanging and encouraging him. On Tuesday we went to a chapel service that Dodie Osteen conducts at one of the local hospitals. Sister Dodie is Joel Osteen's mom, and wife of the late Pastor John Osteen, who started and Lakewwood Church where Joel now pastors. Wow, this blessed lady was so full of zeal and anointing... she finished the hour service by staying and praying individually for everyone that wanted prayer for healing. Sister Osteen was healed supernatually from cancer years ago and is enjoying blessed health well into her 70's. She had plenty of energy, and she gives Jesus all the praise... It was a real blessing for me to meet her... Go Sister...

Kathi I love you

MY SPECIAL LADY Kathi is coming home from Chicago later tonight, with Tabitha, my daughter and Aliyah, my granddaughter... they were at the Auto show for two weeks where Tabitha works. So Kathi stayed there to help with Aliyah... So I miss my brown eyed fox, but will see her soon... I did go to Texas for a few days this week to see my friend Jim Scalise who had a mild heart attack but is on the mend... It was good catching up on what Jim is doing in his ministry... He has a church going in Houston area and started a new work in Steamboat Springs, CO. More later on my time with Jim... I love this extraordinary women that God gave my over 27 years ago. She is my biggest encourager and I'm her biggest fan. She has always supported me, even when I didn't always make the right choice. She makes me feel like a success as a man, father, and husband. Thank you baby, I love you... see you soon...

Faith Works

We had our staff meeting this morning and it was great... I gave a small exhorting on Mark 11:23,where Jesus tells us if we speak to the mountain and command it, the mountain will obey... of course if we believe it... I realized some things here... 1) Jesus said "whosoever" can do this... meaning everyone of us can speak our faith and move our mountains... 2) nothing happens until you and I decide to speak the Word over our situation... you can't change your circumstances by always saying what the circumstances are saying, you must speak what you believe and things will change. 3) You and I have the creative force in our mouth, we must speak what we believe or we will continue to have whatever live throws at us. 4) You and I are the only life source that was given creative rights from God... He made us in His image.. so start speaking what you want and quit saying what the circumstances say. Quit speaking what the mountain is saying and start speaking TO the mountain... Wow, hope this helps... Peace and Grace

God's Grace and Football

Our Sunday service was over the top. The worship band did excellent, and God's power and love was felt, it was strong... and we had a full house, looks like people are returning after a cold January... As I preached on God's amazing Grace, you could see people getting it, Except be the grace of God, where would we be? I defined grace as the power to walk in all that Jesus bought for us even though undeserved and unmerited. Wow, God is great... You may think that God's grace is one-sided, and undeserving, and you would be right... that makes it grace... I will be sharing all of February on Sundays about God's Amazing Grace, come over and join us. As I write this Kathi and I have returned from my sons house eating dinner with all my children and their familes, It was cool... Kristen my daughter in law made the best spaghetti, I almost ate to much... Now Kathi and I am back home watching the Super bowl... go Patriots... we'll see... peace and grace...

It's snowing Again

It's Friday and we were told 8 to 10 inches of snow was to fall. We did get snow, I don't think 10 inches but it's pretty as it falls on the ground, but driving in it is a different matter. You would think that people in Michigan would learn how to drive in the white stuff, but alot of folks don't yet. We closed our offices and daycare today, but I still went out driving in the snow, and it was great. My Audi is all wheel drive, so thats cool, tears right through the snow and slush.. Man we have had a lot of snow fall this winter, more than last year... oh well... drive safe. And by Sunday morning it should be all cleared up... peace.
