If you knew Almeta

We celebrated Almeta Lampleys home coming today at Foss Ave Baptist Church. She was 33 years old.
If you knew Almeta you knew the Lord was very important and very real to her. She loved coming to church and loved working in the preschool dept with the children. She was a faithful member at Faith City for 3 years. She also went through the Virtuous Women’s program.
She fought the good fight against her heart condition, and in the process she caught a glimpse of heaven. I believe she transferred her faith from a healed body to her eternal home. God didn’t take her, HE received her. She is gone, but she is not forgotten.
I believe that God brings people into our lives for a purpose. God brought Almeta into each of our lives for a reason. Like Almeta, we can learn to truly and genuinely care for others. We can always look for the good in the situation and focus on the joy and the laughter. We can be bold about Christ whether in the hospital or in the neighborhood. We can always make new friends no matter what.
I will forever be grateful that Almeta was there at the right place and at the right time to have touched our lives at Faith City Church.

We had Sex in Church!

Wow, Chris and Tabitha Blue gave a great talk on God's healthy view of sexual purity. It was cool seeing them put it all together on a Sunday morning at church. It wasn't condemning, no it was refreshing to see that God invented the sexual act and made it good, in the context of marriage. When we can value our self then we can wait till our marriage covenant is established with one person. I am proud of Tabby, my daughter, and Chris, my son-in love...they are growing in the ministry, and are helping make an impact at Faith City...One important thing they said was; when they were dating they agreed to a line they would not cross over that was so strong that they did not give themselves the option to be tempted. Now as married they have no regrets... To hear their talk go to faithcityusa.com and listen for free. Be blessed...
